Cat & the Fiddle’s newest outlet at Tampines 1 may look like a familiar name at first glance, but step inside and you’ll find something the brand has never done before. Making its debut here is a bake-to-order Basque Cheesecake, priced at $19.90, featuring a molten cheese centre wrapped in a deeply caramelised exterior. It’s a more indulgent, café-style offering that signals a quiet evolution for the homegrown cheesecake favourite.
Designed to be enjoyed fresh, the Basque Cheesecake comes with optional add-ons that turn dessert into a full experience — from crackers and ice cream to the brand’s newly launched Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Cookies. The space also introduces savoury schiacciata sandwiches, available exclusively at select new outlets. Offered in four flavours, each sandwich is generously layered with greens, cheese and proteins like beef pastrami or smoked salmon, giving regulars a reason to drop by even when they’re not craving something sweet.
Backed by award-winning pastry chef Daniel Tay, Cat & the Fiddle continues to build on its reputation as Singapore’s first premium halal-certified cheesecake brand, now leaning more confidently into café-style dining. With this Tampines 1 opening, the brand moves beyond cakes-by-the-slice, positioning itself as a lifestyle dessert destination — one that invites you to linger, experiment, and rediscover a familiar name in a new light.
