Families in Tengah have a new reason to head outdoors with the opening of a unique sheltered net playground at Tengah Parc Residences: Social Hub. Located within an HDB void deck, the free-to-access play space offers children a safe environment to climb, explore and stay active without having to worry about the heat or sudden rain showers. Its convenient location also makes it an attractive option for families living in the growing Tengah neighbourhood.
Unlike conventional playgrounds, the climbing structure cleverly incorporates the building’s existing columns, with suspended rope nets stretching between them to create a multi-level adventure course. The fully enclosed net system allows children to navigate elevated pathways, tackle different climbing routes and weave through spherical obstacles, encouraging exploration, coordination and problem-solving in a secure setting. The maze-like layout offers multiple paths, making each visit a little different from the last.
Designed for children aged five to 12, the playground is best enjoyed with covered shoes for added grip while climbing, and adult supervision is recommended during play. As Tengah continues to welcome new amenities for residents, this thoughtfully designed indoor playground adds another family-friendly attraction to Singapore’s newest housing estate.
