Singapore is planning two major new developments in Marina South as part of its long-term vision for the Greater Southern Waterfront: an integrated cruise and ferry terminal, alongside a large-scale meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) hub. Announced at the Tourism Industry Conference 2026, the projects are designed to strengthen Singapore’s position as both a regional travel gateway and a global business events destination.
The proposed cruise and ferry terminal is expected to sit beside the existing Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore and significantly expand the country’s maritime capacity. Plans include multiple cruise and ferry berths to support growing regional connectivity and rising demand for international cruise travel. The new development will also integrate with broader waterfront transformation plans currently underway across the southern coastline, positioning Marina South as a future lifestyle and transport hub.
Alongside it, authorities are exploring a new integrated MICE destination near Marina Bay MRT Station. Envisioned as a mixed-use development combining exhibition facilities, accommodation, dining, retail, entertainment and attractions, the hub aims to complement existing city-centre venues while enabling Singapore to host larger and more simultaneous global events. Together, both projects reflect Singapore’s continued investment in tourism, business travel and large-scale experiential infrastructure — shaping Marina South into one of the city’s next major growth districts.
