Yunma Bakehouse has opened along Purvis Street, bringing a cosy Japanese-inspired bakery café to the neighbourhood with freshly baked breads, pastries and specialty coffee. Tucked slightly behind construction hoarding, the new café is easy to miss at first glance, but inside reveals a bright, inviting space dressed in soft beige tones, warm wood accents, arched details and comfortable booth seating for a leisurely coffee or afternoon break.
Fresh bakes take centre stage, with a rotating selection of handcrafted sourdough breads, soft buns, focaccia and Basque burnt cheesecakes made in small batches daily. The display features wallet-friendly favourites such as the Cranberry Cream Cheese Bun, Double Chocolate Bun, Taro Bun, Curry Potato Bun, Tomato Focaccia and Jalapeño Cheese Focaccia, alongside seasonal creations that change regularly to keep each visit different.
For dessert, the Soya Tofu Cake stands out with its light, silky texture and delicate tofu aroma, offering a refreshing alternative to richer cheesecakes. Paired with quality coffee, complimentary Wi-Fi and charging points, Yunma Bakehouse is designed as a welcoming neighbourhood café where guests can settle in for work, study sessions or simply enjoy freshly baked treats in a relaxed setting.
