Guangzhou’s popular bakery-café RUXU 入续 has made its international debut at Funan, marking the brand’s first venture outside China. Already established in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai, the new outlet brings its signature baked goods and traditional Chinese desserts to Singapore’s city centre, just steps from City Hall MRT.
Early favourites include the Caramel Croissant Tart, known for its glossy caramelised top, crisp layers and soft custard centre. RUXU also offers a range of classic and modern desserts, with highlights such as the Green Grape & Bubble Shaved Milk Ice with Sea Salt Cheese — a creamy, fruit-topped treat finished with chewy pearls and a sweet-savory cheese foam. More items, including pistachio-based desserts and mango pomelo sago, can be spotted on the brand’s social channels ahead of the full menu release.
Designed as both a bakery and café, the Funan outlet gives visitors a first taste of RUXU’s evolving dessert lineup and contemporary Chinese café aesthetic. As with any newly opened spot, the team is still settling in — but early crowds suggest the brand is already drawing strong interest for its fresh take on Chinese pastries and sweets.
