SteakGrill Steakhouse brings a more refined expression of flame-grilled dining to Keong Saik Road, marking the next chapter for the homegrown brand founded by chef-owner Edwin Chan. What began as a humble campus stall at Ngee Ann Polytechnic before becoming a familiar name in Ang Mo Kio has now evolved into a more intimate Chef’s Table concept, shaped by Chan’s decade-long experience in BBQ, smoking and meat ageing. The industrial-edged space places the focus firmly on the kitchen, where wet- and dry-aged cuts are carefully selected and prepared to highlight their individual character.
The menu builds on SteakGrill’s approachable roots while introducing a more considered level of technique. Steak platters take centre stage, alongside dishes such as Chipotle Smoked Short Ribs, slow-smoked over applewood before being flash-seared for a caramelised finish, and Grilled Aged Duck Breast, aged for seven days and paired with orange jus and wine-infused onions. Even the SteakGrill Signature Cheeseburger gets the chef’s treatment, made with a prime beef blend and served on brioche.
Beyond the food, SteakGrill Steakhouse is designed as a more immersive dining experience, with red wine pairings and a cocktail menu inspired by the people behind the restaurant. It is a natural progression for a brand built around the idea that well-crafted grilled meats should not have to feel inaccessible. At its new Keong Saik home, SteakGrill brings that philosophy into a more elevated setting — combining premium ingredients, careful ageing and open-fire cooking with the warmth and personality that have shaped the brand from the beginning.
