Japanese soufflé pancake chain Flipper’s is closing its Takashimaya outlet and relocating to Jurong East. The Orchard Road cafe was its first branch in Singapore, when it arrived on shores back in 2020. The new outlet will be ready in early October.
FLIPPER’S is arguably one of Japan’s most renowned soufflé pancake chains offering its signature rendition of utterly fluffy, pillow-soft, and melt-in-the-mouth pancakes created with artisan precision. The chain specialises in “kiseki” (Japanese for ‘miracle’) soufflé pancakes, the jiggly pancakes are soft enough that no knife is needed; instead, FLIPPER’S provides its customers with two forks to scoop up the pancakes.
