Little Saturday Room has opened in Aljunied, introducing a new community library and creative gathering space centred around books, music and slow living. Created by the team behind RJ Paper, the cosy venue is designed as more than just a place to read—it invites visitors to browse, discover and connect with a growing community of creatives in Singapore’s east. Inspired by the idea of slowing down, the space offers a welcoming environment where people can spend time exploring shared passions at their own pace.
Unlike a traditional library, Little Saturday Room revolves around rentable “locker nooks”, allowing individuals to curate their own miniature displays for the community. Each nook can be filled with favourite books, vinyl records, artworks, zines or other meaningful collections, transforming the space into a constantly evolving showcase of personal stories, interests and creative discoveries. Visitors, in turn, can browse these thoughtfully assembled collections and encounter recommendations they might never have found elsewhere.
With its community-driven concept, Little Saturday Room offers a fresh take on the neighbourhood library, encouraging people to share what they love while fostering meaningful conversations and connections. As one of Singapore’s newest independent creative spaces, it joins a growing movement of intimate venues dedicated to literature, music and the simple joy of discovering something unexpected.
