ICON Link@ClubStreet is an emerging underground dining and retail hub, offering locals, CBD professionals, and tourists a new lifestyle destination. A sheltered space to explore curated eateries and shops, it injects fresh energy into the Chinatown–Telok Ayer area. Strategically situated on Basement 2 (B2) of Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre, ICON Link@ClubStreet spans nearly 20,000 square feet and offers a seamless underground link between Chinatown and Telok Ayer MRT stations in one of Singapore’s most vibrant heritage and business districts.
The enclave brings together a collection of carefully chosen dining, retail, and lifestyle concepts within a thoughtfully designed all-weather environment where culture, cuisine, and convenience come together. It provides hotel guests, office workers, residents, and tourists with a welcoming space to gather, dine, and unwind, whether for a quick takeaway, informal meeting, or retail exploration.
“ICON Link@ClubStreet adds a vibrant new dining and lifestyle hub to the Club Street and Chinatown precinct, with seamless sheltered access to Telok Ayer and Chinatown MRT Stations,” said Mr Norman Cross, General Manager of Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre.
“More than just a retail link, ICON Link is designed to be a dynamic social and lifestyle space where people can gather, dine, and discover new experiences conveniently within the city centre. Complemented by heritage murals inspired by Chinatown’s rich cultural history, we look forward to establishing ICON Link as a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists.”

Celebrating Chinatown’s Heritage Through Art
To celebrate Chinatown’s rich culture and heritage, as well as to provide local artists a space to showcase their creativity, ICON Link@ClubStreet has commissioned Singapore visual artist, Belinda Low, to create two life-sized murals along the main walkway and the asymmetric wall leading up to the ground floor of Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre.
The first mural, Echoes of Chinatown, pays tribute to Chinatown’s evolution through the years, capturing scenes of everyday life and celebrating the district’s cultural legacy. Through intimate scenes of daily life, it evokes a time when work was done by hand and life moved with purpose. Featuring a ma jie (domestic worker), a traditional clog maker, and a Samsui woman at rest, the artwork reflects lives defined by labour, resilience, and quiet dignity.
The second mural, Where the Street Meets Home, captured a lively street scene from old Chinatown, where music and daily life flowed together. At its centre is a Chinese street musician, inspired by a real performer once commonly seen playing along Chinatown’s streets, dressed in his iconic traditional attire. His presence recalls a time when such musicians enlivened the neighbourhood, drawing street audiences into shared moments of sound and spontaneity.
Since 2013, Belinda has completed over 100 murals across Singapore, with works featured in locations including Clarke Quay, Holland Village, Pulau Ubin, Chinatown and Pasir Ris MRT Station.
“I’m honoured to be given the opportunity to capture and preserve Chinatown’s rich heritage through my mural art. By drawing on personal memories to portray a typical day in Chinatown in the past, I hope my artwork allows passers-by to glimpse what life in Singapore once looked like,” said Belinda Low, mural artist.
