Nyonya Next Door brings fast-casual Peranakan to the CBD “Tradition Within Reach.” A modern fast-casual concept making classic Nyonya flavours affordable and accessible.
Authentic Nyonya dishes are increasingly hard to find in casual settings. Created by the team behind Cherki, Nyonya Next Door sets out to change that.
Peranakan food was never meant to be special-occasion food. It’s home food, family food. Nyonya Next Door puts it back on the family table, at a price that doesn’t ask you to make an occasion of it. A quick-service restaurant serving affordable Peranakan food for diners of every background, whether for a fast takeaway or a relaxed meal.
The space pairs traditional tile motifs with warm wood and rattan: heritage and contemporary design, rooted yet fresh. The mission is simple: to keep Peranakan flavours affordable, relevant and easy to enjoy.
From the Founders of Cherki
Nyonya Next Door comes from the team behind Cherki, Singapore’s modern Peranakan restaurant known for reimagining heritage flavours through bold, contemporary techniques. Here, they carry those flavours into a more vibrant, accessible format.
The Menu
At the center of the Nyonya Next Door experience are three signature bases, each offering a unique expression of Peranakan flavours and textures. They form the foundation of the brand’s build-your-own sets: diners pick a base, add as many mains as they like, and top up to suit, keeping every meal affordable. Guests may also complete their meal with sambals, vegetables, and familiar local drinks, for a comforting meal, just as good for a quick lunch as a relaxed dinner.
A daily ritual and the right way to start the morning, Nanyang coffee and tea are woven into local dining. At Nyonya Next Door, that means familiar favourites like Kopi O, Kopi C, Teh O and Teh C, served hot or iced. For a brighter note, Assam Boy blends calamansi and plum into a lively, tangy refresher alongside the classics.
