After drawing long queues at its first Singapore outlet, LINKUS 临家 enters its next chapter with a new restaurant at Takashimaya Shopping Centre.
Led by Executive Head Chef Lin Qiuyong, who has spent more than 20 years mastering Minnan cuisine, the new concept presents a refined expression of Southern Fujian’s rich culinary heritage through premium ingredients, elegant presentation and an elevated dining experience.
Singapore is home to the first international outpost of Linkus Restaurant Group, one of China’s pioneering Minnan restaurant brands. Founded in Fujian in 2004, the group operates more than 27 directly managed restaurants across China and has spent over 20 years preserving and championing the culinary heritage of Southern Fujian.
The name “Linjia” (临家), meaning “a neighbour’s house”, reflects the brand’s philosophy of treating every guest like family. That spirit of warm hospitality continues to define the dining experience today, where refined cuisine is paired with the comfort and generosity of a welcoming home.

On The Menu
At the heart of the experience is a menu that celebrates Southern Fujian’s rich culinary traditions through pristine seafood, time-honoured recipes and premium seasonal ingredients. Each dish highlights the region’s hallmark appreciation for natural flavours, allowing the freshness of every ingredient to take centre stage.
Begin with Passion Fruit Juice Marinated Fruit Pulp (百香果汁浸果肉), a refreshing appetiser featuring succulent fruit pulp lightly marinated in a house-made passion fruit dressing that delivers bright tropical sweetness.
Reflecting Southern Fujian’s close relationship with the sea are signatures such as Hand Hooked Squid Tubes in Chilli Oil (红油汁浸手钓大管), where tender hand-hooked Dongshan squid is dressed in fragrant house-made chilli oil that enhances its natural sweetness. Fujian Rice Wine Marinated Runny Yolk Mantis Prawn (福建老酒浸溏心富贵虾) pairs succulent mantis prawns infused with traditional Fujian rice wine alongside a luscious runny yolk, while Flying Fish Roe Tossed with First-Harvest Laver (飞鱼籽拌头水紫菜) showcases prized first-harvest laver, renowned for its delicate texture and deep ocean umami, complemented by bursts of briny flying fish roe.
Among LINKUS 临家’s most iconic signatures are two dishes that embody the enduring culinary heritage of Southern Fujian. Quanzhou Ginger Duck with Abalone (泉州黄金姜母鸭鲍鱼) traces its roots to imperial cuisine from the Shang Dynasty and reflects more than a thousand years of Minnan culinary wisdom. Slow-cooked with fragrant ginger, black sesame oil and premium abalone, the dish is deeply aromatic, nourishing and synonymous with Quanzhou’s rich food culture. Equally emblematic is the Xiamen Classic Satay Hotpot Served with Doughsticks (厦门经典沙茶锅配油条), centred around Xiamen’s celebrated shacha broth, recognised as one of the city’s Ten Signature Dishes. While satay originated in Southeast Asia, Minnan merchants who travelled the region brought the flavours home, where it evolved into the distinctive local “shacha” that has since become one of Southern Fujian’s defining flavours. Served with freshly fried doughsticks for dipping, the comforting hotpot offers an authentic taste of the region’s culinary heritage.
The Takashimaya restaurant also introduces Minnan Nourishing Sea Eel Soup (闽南滋补土龙汤), a time-honoured tonic deeply rooted in Southern Fujian culinary culture. Featuring wild-caught sea eel slowly simmered with traditional Chinese herbs, the soup develops a rich, milky broth prized for both its comforting flavour and nourishing qualities. For a hearty accompaniment, Quanzhou Wrapped Pork & Radish Rice (泉州封肉萝卜饭) combines melt-in-the-mouth braised pork, slow-cooked in an aromatic soy reduction, with fragrant rice and sweet local radish for a comforting taste of home.
To conclude the meal, Taro Paste with Bird’s Nest in Coconut Cup (椰盅燕窝芋泥) presents a refined take on a beloved Fujian dessert. Silky taro paste is layered with premium bird’s nest and served inside a fresh coconut, bringing together delicate sweetness and comforting flavours in an elegant finish.
