A brand-new tea spot, Cafe Usagi Tokyo (Usagi translates to “rabbit” in Japanese), has opened in Suntec City, just ahead of the new year of the water Rabbit. And just like its namesake, it’s expanding pretty quickly, too — there’s already a second outlet on the way.
This modern Japanese cafe sells a range of Japanese inspired food and drinks. It serves handcrafted mochi ice cream which made in-house by a Japanese chef, using imported ingredients such as Hokkaido milk and sold alongside waffles, served with kuromitsu (Japanese sugar syrup) or maple syrup, as well as strawberry mochi.
