Miura is one of Joo Chiat’s newest hidden gems, bringing together Japanese-inspired wagashi, matcha and cold brew coffee in a beautifully understated setting. Opened by the team behind Paaru, the tea stand is tucked away inside In Good Company’s newly opened three-storey shophouse at 316 Joo Chiat Road, offering a serene retreat that many would easily walk past. Minimalist interiors, limited seating and a charming outdoor terrace create an inviting space to slow down over handcrafted Japanese treats and tea.
The menu is intentionally simple, centring around freshly made wagashi prepared daily in limited batches. Signature highlights include the popular strawberry daifuku, alongside carefully whisked matcha, hojicha and fruit-forward cold brew coffees. Guided by the Japanese philosophy of omotenashi, Miura focuses on thoughtful hospitality and quality ingredients, offering a quiet alternative to trend-driven cafés and elaborate desserts.
Beyond the tea stand, the new In Good Company flagship transforms the conserved 3,000-square-foot shophouse into a lifestyle destination. Visitors can browse the brand’s latest fashion collections alongside curated homegrown and independent labels, while the upper floors also host workshops, creative collaborations and community events. Together, Miura and In Good Company create a space that encourages guests to linger, explore and enjoy a slower pace in the heart of Joo Chiat.
