Beams is set to open its first standalone Singapore store at New Bahru, marking a significant moment for the Tokyo-born label. Launching as a limited-time concept, the space introduces a dedicated retail presence beyond its existing shop-in-shop, and arrives as part of the brand’s lead-up to its 50th anniversary. The move reflects Beams’ continued global expansion, albeit in its characteristically selective and considered manner.
The store will feature a tightly curated selection from its in-house lines, including Demi-Luxe Beams, spanning both menswear and womenswear. Known for its refined yet relaxed aesthetic, the label blends everyday wearability with a polished edge—pieces that move easily between casual and elevated settings. The offering will evolve over time, with rotating brands and collaborations from the wider Beams universe, keeping the space dynamic and continually refreshed.
Founded in Tokyo’s Harajuku district in 1976, Beams was among the pioneers of the “select shop” concept, bringing together fashion, music, art, and lifestyle under one roof. That multidisciplinary approach continues to define the brand today, shaping its identity as both retailer and cultural curator. Its arrival at New Bahru feels fitting—set within a growing creative enclave that mirrors the same spirit of cross-industry collaboration and discovery.
