“A Summer Night in Barcelona” presented by chefs Carles Gaig and Martí Carlos Martínez. The only international outpost of the iconic restaurant in Barcelona, Restaurant Gaig on Stanley Street is a name synonymous with authentic, inspired Catalan fare. Its founder chef Carles Gaig is the indefatigable global ambassador for Catalan cuisine since the early 80s, advocating the culinary heritage of the culture and its land.
For two nights only, on 17 and 18 August, chef Carles Gaig returns to Singapore to present a gastronomic artistry – A Summer Night in Barcelona, together with his protégé executive chef Martí Carlos Martínez. The 6-course menu (S$198++) highlighting late Summer seasonal ingredients from land and sea celebrates the natural environment of the region on the Mediterranean coast, rich with an abundance of fresh produce from the sea, fields, and mountains.
Located in the heart Singapore’s favourite bustling dining precinct, Restaurant Gaig is the first international outpost of the original Michelin-starred restaurant in Barcelona opened by the celebrated chef Carles Gaig, whose name is synonymous with Catalan cuisine. The Singapore branch is operated by his daughter, Nuria Gibert, the fifth generation of the family’s long lineage of chefs and restaurateurs. The kitchen is helmed by executive chef Marti Carlos, who was under the tutelage of chef Gaig. Since 2017, Restaurant Gaig has won the hearts of many local diners, celebrating the best of traditional Catalan cuisine with recipes dating back to the 19th century. Deftly prepared by Chef Marti, coupled with the affable and heartfelt hospitality from service team led by Nuria, dining at Restaurant Gaig transports one into home of the celebrated Gaig family.
