Singapore’s first neighbourhood sports complex has officially entered its next chapter, with the rejuvenated Queenstown Sport Centre reopening for a soft launch following an extensive redevelopment. Located along Stirling Road, the upgraded facility welcomed visitors from 30 June 2026, giving the public an early look at its refreshed amenities ahead of its official grand opening later this year.
During the soft launch, visitors can enjoy the newly upgraded swimming complex and a brand-new ActiveSG gym, while final touch-up works continue across selected areas. The modern fitness centre accommodates up to 210 users and is equipped with Life Fitness equipment, an indoor functional training turf and upgraded workout spaces designed to cater to both casual gym-goers and regular fitness enthusiasts. General facilities operate daily from 7am to 10pm, with standard gym entry available through ActiveSG.
Originally opened in 1970, Queenstown Sport Centre holds the distinction of being Singapore’s first public sports complex. After closing in May 2023 for a major overhaul, the refreshed venue marks a significant milestone in Sport Singapore’s efforts to modernise community sporting facilities while preserving one of the country’s most iconic recreation hubs. Additional facilities will progressively come online as preparations continue for the centre’s official reopening.
