Zouk Group celebrates the reopening of Zouk Mainroom and Phuture, marking the completion of a multi-million-dollar renovation across its flagship Clarke Quay home and the start of a new chapter for the Singapore-born nightlife icon. Coinciding with Zouk’s 35th anniversary this year, the transformation introduces a more versatile, modular venue designed to host up to 3,500 guests across Zouk Mainroom, Phuture and Capital, with the flexibility to support everything from club nights and live performances to product launches, conferences, brand activations and immersive entertainment experiences.
The reopening comes at a time when nightlife in Singapore continues to evolve beyond the traditional club format, with audiences seeking experiences that bring together music, performance, culture and community. More than entertainment, nightlife plays an important role in how a city gathers, connects and creates shared memories. For Zouk, the transformation is a response to these changing ways of gathering while staying true to the role it has played in Singapore’s after-dark culture for 35 years – from championing local DJs to creating a platform for homegrown and international talent today. The refreshed venue is designed to support this next chapter, giving Zouk greater flexibility to host a wider spectrum of artists, audiences and experiences while retaining the music-led energy that has long defined the brand.
“Zouk has never stood still,” says Andrew Li, CEO of Zouk Group. “From Jiak Kim to Clarke Quay, from championing local DJs to bringing global names to our stage, we have always evolved with the city and the people who come through our doors. This renovation is not about changing who we are, but about creating the right platform for what comes next: more ambitious performances, more creative collaborations, and more ways for people to experience Zouk.”
USHERING IN A BRAND NEW ERA FOR ZOUK
Led by internationally acclaimed creative partners Josh Held Design and Superlative, the refreshed Zouk has been conceived around flexibility, scale and experience. Mainroom, Phuture and Capital are designed as distinct yet adaptable environments, each serving a different audience profile and event function while remaining part of a larger connected ecosystem.

Individually, the venues can support dedicated programming across a range of scales and formats – from live performances and brand showcases to conferences, networking sessions and social experiences. At the heart of the redesign, however, is modularity. While Mainroom, Phuture and Capital operate independently and are separated by audio walls, the spaces can also be opened up and integrated into a larger seamless environment when required. This gives organisers greater flexibility in managing guest flow, staging, programming and occupancy needs within a single venue ecosystem, with a total capacity of up to 3,500 guests when the modular spaces are fully opened.
Beyond scale, the transformation also introduces significantly upgraded production and technical capabilities across the venue. The new spaces are equipped with extensive audio, visual and lighting infrastructure, including large-format LED walls and end-to-end screen capabilities that allow for highly customised content, staging and storytelling. The systems have been designed to support a broader range of live programming beyond traditional nightlife formats, from keynote presentations and panel discussions to product showcases, live performances and immersive entertainment experiences.
Highlights include:
● Next-generation sound systems engineered for both DJ sets and live performances
● 12-metre-wide high-resolution LED walls for powerful visual storytelling
● A redesigned main entrance for Zouk mainroom and Phuture with streamlined flow for an elevated guest journey
● A premium VIP sofa experience with plush seating behind the DJ booth, delivering front-row access like never before.
A NIGHT TO MARK ZOUK’S NEXT CHAPTER
To mark the reopening, Zouk hosted a closed-door party on Wednesday, 17 June, bringing together media, tastemakers, personalities and friends of the brand for an exclusive first look at the transformed venue.
From the red carpet to the dance floor, guests were immersed in the new Zouk experience – exploring the refreshed Mainroom and Phuture while enjoying a sneak peek into the new day-to-night lifestyle concept Rally Clubhouse.
The evening also paid tribute to Zouk’s illustrious history, with guests treated to a lookback at the brand’s legacy and cultural impact before a ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official reopening of the venue.
Bringing the night’s Future Nostalgia theme to life, homegrown singer-songwriter Iman Fandi then took to the stage for a special live performance that bridged Zouk’s legacy with its next chapter. Iman debuted her new single, IT IS, before following with a remixed version of her hit song, Out Of My Mind, created in collaboration with Zouk’s resident DJ Caden.
Paired with immersive visuals across Zouk’s newly upgraded screens, the moment brought the evening’s Future Nostalgia theme to life, connecting the familiar with the future-facing. Together, the collaboration between Iman Fandi and Zouk brought music, fashion, design and technology into one performance, offering guests a glimpse of the venue’s enhanced production capabilities and its potential for live performance, visual storytelling and large-scale entertainment experiences.
The reopening arrives as Zouk celebrates 35 years of shaping Singapore’s nightlife and music culture. From its origins on Jiak Kim Street to its current home at Clarke Quay, Zouk has long been recognised as one of Singapore’s most influential cultural exports – not only for bringing the world’s dance music scene to Singapore, but for giving the city its own after-dark identity.
With its latest transformation, Zouk is looking ahead to a more dynamic and multifaceted future. One where nightlife is not only entertainment, but a vital part of how a city connects, expresses itself and remembers who it is.
Zouk Group will also launch its newest concept, Rally Clubhouse, later this month – a social space targeted at the younger generation where creative programming and community-led experiences come to life.
