Exciting news for nature lovers – there will be not one, but two new Nature Parks coming up in the South of Singapore! The Alexandra Nature Park and Berlayer Creek Nature Park, when completed, will be part of the new Labrador Nature Park Network, which covers more than 200ha of green spaces.
The new Labrador Nature Park Network comprises core habitats such as Labrador Nature Reserve and the mature secondary forests along the Southern Ridges. It also includes green spaces that buffer the Reserve, such as Labrador Nature Park and Pasir Panjang Park as well as a new park coming up at the Keppel Club site. In addition to these green spaces, you can also look forward to more than 40km of trails, park connectors and Nature Ways to explore and enjoy nature! The new network will enhance ecological and recreational connectivity in the area while easing visitorship pressure off the Labrador Nature Reserve. These recreational offerings will be completed progressively from 2024, giving us even more options to relax, unwind and enjoy the benefits of greenery in our City in Nature!
