Three years after launching as a homegrown artisanal butter brand, Borderlessbutter has opened its first physical space at Sprout @ AMK. Founded by Arden Zhuo, the brand is known for its flavoured compound butters, from chunky miso shiitake and whipped seaweed brown butter to smoky maple chipotle. The new space gives visitors a chance to experience the products beyond the jar, with a small tasting booth offering a rotating selection of compound butters alongside a weekend menu built around Borderlessbutter’s signature flavours.
The food menu features four buttery sandwiches, including the Mala Kani Tartine, paired with XO mala butter, and a Smoky Maple Chipotle Tamago Sando that gives the Japanese-style egg sandwich a richer, smoky twist. Drinks take up a significant part of the new offering, with a selection of 15 cold brews, matcha drinks and refreshers designed to balance the richness of the food. Highlights include the Yuzu Pistachio Cloud Cold Brew and Yuzu Pistachio Cloud Matcha, alongside creations such as the Golden EVOO Cloud Cold Brew, Tokyo Fog Matcha Cloud and Lime Spritz Cold Brew.
More than just a retail counter, the Sprout @ AMK space serves as Borderlessbutter’s first opportunity to explore what the brand can become in a physical setting. Part of Enterprise Singapore’s incubator programme, the one-year space combines product tastings, casual bites and an expanded drinks menu, creating a new way for customers to discover the brand’s playful approach to butter and flavour.
