Cafe Lilac by Whisking Bakes has entered a new chapter with its rebranding as Sonder Café and Bakery at Crawford Lane. While retaining its signature love for taro-inspired creations, the refreshed café introduces a broader bakery menu alongside specialty coffee, making it a more complete all-day destination for brunch, desserts and casual catch-ups.
The cosy space has also been given a fresh update, featuring warm wooden furnishings, rattan seating, soft lighting and an inviting cake display that greets guests upon arrival. Beyond its well-loved taro drinks, the expanded menu now includes cloud lattes, sandwiches, granola bowls, cookies and an ever-changing selection of handcrafted cakes, offering plenty of reasons for both new and returning visitors to stop by.
Among the standout bakes is the Injeolmi Mochi Cake ($8.90), layered with vanilla chiffon, injeolmi fresh cream, soft milk mochi and fragrant soybean crumble for a satisfying mix of textures. Other highlights include the Pistachio Burnt Cheesecake ($9.50), Mango Taro Cake ($8.80) and an assortment of freshly baked cookies, cementing Sonder Cafe and Bakery as a charming new addition to Crawford Lane’s café scene.
