Cafe Idaki has opened along Lorong Liput in Holland Village, bringing house-roasted coffee and a more work-friendly café experience to the neighbourhood. The elongated space houses a sleek coffee bar, timber tables and an in-house roasting room enclosed behind glass, giving guests a glimpse into the process behind the café’s coffee programme. Inspired by Japanese teahouses, the interiors feel calm and understated, while the larger-than-expected space makes it easy to settle in for a longer visit.
Coffee takes centre stage, with several espresso profiles alongside filter coffee, Cold Drip and Cascara Cold Brew Tea. The My White ($6.50), made with the nuttier house profile, is smooth and rounded with chocolatey notes that pair particularly well with milk. The food menu keeps things casual, offering pastries and café bites such as Cinnamon Sugar Loaf, Spicy Bacon Loaf, Almond Croissant, Muah Otah and Cheese Croissant, Brownie and a Grilled Cheese Sandwich ($14).
Adding to Cafe Idaki’s appeal is a dedicated work and study room tucked towards the back of the café, giving customers a quieter space to focus away from the main coffee bar. With its combination of freshly roasted coffee, Japanese-inspired interiors and practical spaces for working or studying, the new Holland Village café offers a relaxed alternative for those looking to linger beyond their morning coffee.
