A new chapter begins along Tembeling Road with the opening of Casa Cicheti, the second outlet from the team behind the well-known Cicheti Trattoria. Taking over the former Forma space in the heart of Joo Chiat, the new venue keeps the neighbourhood charm of its predecessor while shifting the concept toward a more relaxed, trattoria-style dining experience.
The setting will feel familiar to those who visited the previous restaurant, with alfresco terrace seating out front and a cosy indoor dining room that suits both casual dinners and long catch-ups. Inside, the biggest change is at the entrance, where the former pasta-making station has been replaced by a bar, setting the tone for a space designed as much for wine and conversation as it is for food.
The menu moves beyond Forma’s pasta-centric focus, now covering a broader range of Italian favourites including starters, handmade pastas, pizzas, meats and desserts. Positioned as a neighbourhood “little house”, Casa Cicheti leans into the easy, communal spirit the group is known for—hearty cooking, rotating dishes, and bottles meant for sharing. With its east-side address and laid-back rhythm, the new opening brings a familiar name into a different part of town, while keeping the warmth that made the original a favourite.
