In a city where samgyetang is no longer rare, SAM SAM SAM 삼삼삼 introduces a new way to experience Korea’s most iconic wellness dish.
Inspired by traditional Korean herbal medicine and formulated in consultation with Licensed Traditional Korean Medicine Doctors, the restaurant combines a retro Seoul dining space modelled after a 1980s Korean herbal medicine shop with Singapore’s first body-matched samgyetang experience. Built around chicken, ginseng, jujube, and carefully selected botanicals, each variation is crafted with a distinct wellness focus.
The name SAM SAM SAM (삼삼삼) draws from two meanings of the word sam: the number three, a symbol of balance in East Asian culture, and insam (인삼), the Korean word for ginseng. Together, they reflect the brand’s philosophy of nourishment, balance, and shared dining.

The Space and The Concept
Walk into SAM SAM SAM and you enter two eras of Korean history at once.
The first is a traditional Korean herbal apothecary, inspired by the atmosphere of Korean herbal medicine shops (한약방). Rows of labelled wooden medicine drawers line the walls. Ceramic vessels sit on open shelves alongside dark timber surfaces and natural materials. The atmosphere is purposeful and considered, referencing a setting where ingredients are stored, prepared, and selected with care.
The second is the graphic world of 1980s-90s Korean sports culture. Bold black-and-white photography, vintage typography, and references to an era when samgyetang was closely associated with stamina and recovery add a sense of energy and vitality to the space.
The Samgyetang: Formulated In Consultation With Licensed Traditional Korean Medicine Doctors
Each samgyetang formulation is developed in consultation with licensed Traditional Korean Medicine Doctors, with herbs and botanicals carefully selected according to the intended wellness focus of each bowl. Herbal ingredients are sourced from Korea according to these formulation specifications to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to the original formulations.
Every ingredient is chosen with care, reflecting traditional Korean wellness principles and the distinctive character of each samgyetang variation.

Sharing Pot
The sharing pot menu extends SAM SAM SAM’s philosophy into one of Korea’s most cherished dining traditions: gathering around a single pot and sharing a meal together.
Korean Spicy Chicken Pot 닭볶음탕 — A Korean comfort food classic featuring tender chicken, potatoes, and vegetables simmered in a rich, spicy broth. Designed for sharing, the dish delivers bold flavours, warmth, and the communal dining experience that sits at the heart of Korean food culture.
As the meal winds down, diners can elevate the experience by ordering a side of rice to be cooked directly in the remaining pot and broth, transforming it into a spicy, crispy nurungji fried rice, a deeply satisfying final course that captures the essence of the meal.
Whole Chicken Pot with Mushrooms 버섯듬뿍 닭한마리 — A Korean sharing dish built around a whole chicken, seven varieties of assorted mushrooms, and a light yet deeply flavourful broth. Inspired by the comforting flavours of samgyetang, it offers a cleaner, more nourishing alternative to traditional hotpot.
As the final touch, diners can order a bowl of porridge to be cooked in the remaining mushroom-infused broth, creating a rich, deeply nourishing mushroom porridge, a wholesome conclusion that embodies the wellness philosophy at the heart of SAM SAM SAM.
