A new chapter in Korean dining is set to unfold at National Gallery Singapore with the arrival of Seoul & So, a modern Korean barbecue restaurant by the award-winning family behind Seoul Restaurant. Created by the Rhee siblings, this latest concept reflects their journey in Singapore—one that bridges heritage, craft and a quietly progressive approach to Korean cuisine.
While Seoul & So remains rooted in Korean barbecue traditions, the experience has been thoughtfully reimagined. Expect an à la carte and sharing-style menu that places premium meats front and centre, including Japanese and Australian wagyu, Iberico pork, and newly approved Korean Hanwoo and Handon. Cooking techniques honour tradition, but the presentation is contemporary, with dedicated grilling stations positioned near each table—allowing diners to enjoy the theatre without interrupting the flow of conversation.
Set on the gallery’s fifth floor amid historic architecture, Seoul & So feels less like a reinvention and more like a natural evolution. It marks a shift away from the buffet format that defined its sister restaurant, offering instead a more refined, intentional dining experience designed for today’s discerning crowd. As National Gallery Singapore continues to refresh its F&B landscape, Seoul & So positions itself as a confident new destination—where Korean culture, premium produce and modern hospitality quietly converge.
