Park Bench Deli is officially back — this time in the form of a food truck parked at Ocean Financial Centre in the CBD. After closing its Telok Ayer storefront in 2023 and making a brief pop-up appearance in Dempsey, the cult-favourite sandwich brand has returned with a more compact setup, bringing its signature American deli-style sandwiches back to lunchtime crowds in the city.
Longtime fans will remember Park Bench Deli for its indulgent, generously packed sandwiches that helped shape Singapore’s modern sandwich scene. Its legendary cheesesteak — layered with roast beef, melted provolone and onions — quickly became the brand’s unofficial signature, known for being gloriously messy in the best possible way. Equally memorable was the PBJ sandwich, which took the nostalgic peanut butter and jam pairing and elevated it with an unexpected crunch from cornflakes.
The new food truck menu keeps things streamlined and fast-paced while holding onto the bold flavours the brand is known for. Alongside the returning cheesesteak, new creations include the Goodfellas, stacked with mortadella and Iberico salami, and Steak Frites — a sandwich inspired by the flavours of a classic steakhouse meal. Park Bench Deli’s latest chapter may look different from its original Telok Ayer days, but the spirit remains the same: big, comforting sandwiches made with plenty of personality and just the right amount of chaos.
