Meiko Tailor marks 48 years of bespoke craftsmanship with a refreshed identity and a new home in Boat Quay — a milestone moment for the heritage Singapore tailor known for its impeccable suits and personal approach.
The new atelier honours its long-standing roots while introducing a contemporary direction led by second-generation designer Adele Chung. The space is also where Meiko Tailor unveiled Uncommon Hem, its in-house label that reimagines tailoring with a playful, sustainable twist — from menswear and womenswear to limited one-of-a-kind pieces crafted using responsibly sourced and archived materials.
While bespoke tailoring remains at the heart of the brand — including growing expertise in women’s tailoring from power suits to occasion wear — the Boat Quay studio signals its future-forward evolution. Visitors can expect a space built around collaboration, creativity and craft, where every commission reflects a new chapter for the wearer.
With its jubilee year on the horizon, Meiko Tailor continues to carry forward a legacy shaped by master tailor Chung Chi Kwong, who still personally drafts and cuts each suit. The next era blends heritage with fresh design energy — all stitched together in its striking new riverside atelier.
