Serangoon’s vibrant café scene—already home to favourites like Lola’s, Joji’s Diner, and Chu and Co—has a bold new addition: The Weirdoughs. Taking over the space formerly occupied by Jane Provision Shop, the bakery-café stands out with its bright yellow façade and inventive menu. Since its opening, it has quickly drawn attention for creative bakes and playful flavour combinations that push beyond the ordinary.
While the popular caipoh sourdough with sambal butter is available for a limited time as part of an SG60 menu, there are plenty of other standout items to try. The kimchi sausage bun is packed with cheese, kimchi, and gochujang mayo, while the onion leek pastry and zesty key lime pie offer something a little different. For those with adventurous palates, the menu surprises with olive oil madeleines spiced with Taiwanese peppers, alongside bombolinis in flavours like coffee sesame and mango vanilla.
Beyond the pastries, The Weirdoughs also shines as a neighbourhood café where visitors can linger over coffee or bring home a loaf of freshly baked shokupan. With its wide-ranging menu and inventive approach, the bakery is set to become another beloved Serangoon staple—one that blends comfort with a dash of creativity.
