POCHA! Korean Street Dining has opened its largest branch at Hillion Mall, the sixth location in Singapore, joining others at Northpoint City, Plaza Singapura, Jem, Tampines Mall, and CQ @ Clarke Quay. New outlets will also open at Compass One and ION Orchard by the end of July. The Hillion Mall branch captures the vibrant essence of a traditional Korean Pojangmacha with quirky, colorful decor and a convenient takeaway kiosk near the entrance, blending casual street food with a touch of restaurant flair.
The menu at POCHA Hillion Mall features exciting new dishes, with several exclusive to this location. Highlights include the Korean Egg Bread, or Gyeran Bbang, in three versions: original with egg and cheese, Cheesu Bbang with just cheese, and Corn Cheesu Bbang with corn and cheese. Tanghulu, a traditional Chinese snack with a Korean twist, offers various fruits dipped in hardened syrup. The Ganjang-Gejang, raw marinated crab in homemade soy sauce, and creamy Shin Ramyeon, a twist on the classic spicy noodle dish, are also noteworthy.
For hearty meals, the Bulgogi, available in beef and pork, features sweet and savory stir-fried meat with caramelized onions and leeks. Hangari Bokkeumbab, a fried rice dish with a sunny-side-up egg and aged soy sauce, delivers rich umami flavors. Seafood lovers will enjoy the Flaming Seafood Jjigae, a flambeed dish of clams, prawns, squid, and mussels. The Rosé Tteokbokki offers a modern take on rice cakes in a creamy, slightly spicy sauce. For a refreshing finish, the Hwa Chae, a Korean watermelon punch with muscat grapes and watermelon cubes, is perfect for sharing.
