Louisa Coffee, Taiwan’s biggest coffeehouse chain, has opened its first Singapore outlet at Bugis. Opening at Guoco Midtower, the cafe seats up to 70 with both indoor and outdoor spaces. The specialty coffee chain opened their first store in Minsheng all the way back in 2007, with franchise operations starting in 2012. They’ve since expanded to over 500 locations in Taiwan, surpassing Starbucks in 2019 while also expanding to Thailand. The Bugis outlet marks their 4th overseas location.
The menu at Louisa Coffee has their signature items as well as Singapore-exclusive ones, ranging from tarts and cakes baked in-house to sandwiches and, of course, coffee. The popular pick seems to be the fluffy Boston Cream Pie (S$6.50), which comes in slices of Black Sesame, Matcha or Taro flavours. Both the Cheese and Egg Pudding Tart are priced at S$4.50.
For their coffee selection, pick from Estate Coffee (S$4 – S$6.60), Beyond Single Origin (S$8.80 – S$11.60) and Specialty Coffee (S$6.90). Some unique options include the Orange Peel Latte (S$6.30), Brown Sugar Latte (S$6.30), Coffee Mojito (S$6.90) and Black Coffee Latte (S$6.90), comprising a shot of espresso with fresh milk and a sprinkling of ground black sesame seeds.
Given their renown, coffee lovers might want to drop by Louisa Coffee for at least a cup of their highly-raved coffee. You can also find their proprietary coffee retail products for sale at the cafe.
