Hands On Film has reopened its Bali Lane space with a refreshed concept, expanding beyond retail into a more immersive hub for analogue photography enthusiasts. While the location remains the same, the updated store introduces a wider range of cameras, added experiences, and new community-driven elements—marking a thoughtful evolution of one of Singapore’s go-to film spaces.
The revamped interior features an expanded selection of film cameras, from disposables and compact point-and-shoots to rangefinders and SLRs for those seeking a more hands-on experience. A dedicated corner for spare parts—dubbed the “junkie’s corner”—adds another layer for hobbyists looking to repair or customise their gear. Staying true to its roots, the store continues to function as a welcoming space where both newcomers and regulars can explore, learn, and connect over a shared interest in film photography.
Beyond cameras, the refreshed space introduces new touchpoints for visitors. A newly added Instax photobooth offers instant prints on the spot, while a collaboration with local label Wacky Wears brings a capsule collection of film-inspired apparel into the mix. The store also features a growing photo wall made up of community contributions, reinforcing its role not just as a shop, but as a living, evolving space shaped by the people who pass through it.
