Japanese hamburg specialist Niku Niku Oh Kome will open its second Singapore outlet at Westgate next month, following the success of its first location at Resorts World Sentosa. Known for its Wagyu hamburg concept, the brand brings its interactive dining format to the west side, offering a larger, 40-seat space where diners can watch patties being prepared and grilled right in front of them. The setup includes counter seats near the grill, adding a theatrical element to the experience.
The concept revolves around freshly made beef patties that are partially grilled before being served, allowing diners to finish cooking them on their own tabletop grill. Each set comes with free-flow rice, miso soup, and sides, turning the meal into a hands-on experience where timing and doneness are entirely up to the diner. The hamburg steaks are paired with a range of sauces and condiments, from lighter, creamy blends to bolder, more savoury options, giving each bite a different flavour profile.
Customisation is a key part of the appeal, whether through choosing different patty combinations or experimenting with sauces at the table. Variations include classic beef patties as well as options topped with melted cheese, often finished tableside for added richness. With its mix of interactive grilling, generous portions, and casual setting, the new Westgate outlet continues the brand’s formula of approachable, hands-on dining, now more accessible to those in the western part of Singapore.
