One of Japan’s most recognisable yakitori chains has officially arrived in Singapore, with Torikizoku opening its first local outlet at VivoCity. The launch marks a significant milestone for the Osaka-born brand, with the Singapore restaurant becoming its largest outlet globally, spanning an impressive 174 seats. Known for its lively atmosphere and approachable dining concept, Torikizoku brings its signature Japanese izakaya experience to local diners with a simple promise: quality yakitori at an accessible fixed price.
Founded in Osaka in 1985, Torikizoku has grown into a household name across Japan, with more than 700 outlets serving freshly grilled skewers, comforting rice dishes, and classic Japanese bar fare. Staying true to its famous “everything 390 yen” philosophy, the Singapore outlet adopts the same flat-price concept, with every food item on the menu priced at S$3.90. Diners can look forward to an extensive selection of charcoal-grilled skewers, alongside popular side dishes such as grilled fluffy grated yam, karaage, and hearty rice favourites.
Beyond its value-driven pricing, Torikizoku delivers the warm and convivial dining culture that has made it a favourite among locals and travellers alike. Signature highlights include the Kizokuyaki chicken thigh and leek skewer, freshly grilled to order, as well as the comforting chicken kamameshi, a Japanese claypot rice dish served piping hot to the table. With its combination of affordability, consistency, and authentic izakaya charm, Torikizoku’s highly anticipated Singapore debut is set to become a go-to destination for casual Japanese dining.
