SKOSH, the Bencoolen Street favourite for handcrafted onigiri, sandos and specialty drinks, has opened its second outlet at Scotts Square, introducing a new Hand Roll Bar exclusive to the new location. The concept keeps SKOSH’s casual, easy-going approach while shifting the spotlight to freshly made Japanese-inspired hand rolls, combining crisp roasted nori, premium Japanese rice and bold, layered toppings.
Made to order, the hand rolls use glossy Haenuki rice from Yamagata, seasoned with red sushi vinegar from Gifu and wrapped in crisp Setouchi nori. The menu spans a range of flavours, from umami-rich Snow Crab and Negitoro with crispy shallots to Torched Octopus and Hokkaido N34 beef, with tasting sets available for those who want to explore several combinations in one sitting.
The new Scotts Square outpost also introduces three exclusive matcha creations made with ceremonial-grade matcha from Nishio, including Miso Brown Sugar Matcha, Matcha Parfait and Kinako Matcha. Layered with house-made creams, pastes and foams, they add a sweeter counterpoint to the savoury hand rolls — making SKOSH’s latest location an easy stop for a quick Japanese-inspired bite or matcha break in town.
