After relocating from Stanley Street, Sushi Hare has reopened at CHIJMES, unveiling an elegant new home that reflects the restaurant’s next chapter while staying true to its omakase philosophy. Helmed by Taiwanese Chef Angus Chang, the intimate restaurant welcomes guests into a serene space designed to encourage diners to slow down and immerse themselves in the rhythm of Japanese dining. A striking Kumiko wood façade sets the tone, leading into a warm, minimalist interior inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics that complements the calm, unhurried experience.
Centred on craftsmanship, seasonality and refined hospitality, Sushi Hare’s omakase showcases premium Japanese ingredients at their peak, with menus that evolve alongside the seasons. Lunch begins with the Hikari Menu ($160++), featuring an appetiser, chawanmushi, nine pieces of nigiri, a hand roll, soup and dessert. Dinner offers the more elaborate Ao Menu ($380++), while those seeking an even more personalised experience can reserve the bespoke Hare Menu (from $500++), available with advance booking.
The move to CHIJMES provides Sushi Hare with a more tranquil and immersive setting that elevates its signature omakase experience. Combining thoughtful design, meticulous sushi craftsmanship and heartfelt hospitality, the new venue offers diners a refined destination in the heart of the city for both special occasions and leisurely appreciation of seasonal Japanese cuisine.
