Shu Bakery marks the latest venture from the team behind Chū and Co, bringing a fresh café concept to Kovan that expands beyond the neighbourhood bakery format that first won them a loyal following. While retaining the approachable charm and community-focused spirit that defined their original venture, the new space introduces a broader all-day dining experience, pairing artisanal bakes with a thoughtfully curated menu of brunch dishes, specialty coffee, and savoury plates.
Designed with a warm, residential feel, Shu Bakery offers a slower-paced café experience centred around comfort and craftsmanship. The menu features a selection of signature toasts and brunch favourites, including the Chu + Shu Toast layered with chocolate praline, banana, and kaya custard, alongside more inventive offerings such as Uni Scrambled Egg Toast, Cold Stracciatella Toast with pickled tomatoes and grapes, and Avocado Toast finished with citrus salt and fresh basil.
