The Pantry at COMO Dempsey returns to the spotlight this summer as a lifestyle-led dining space built around how friends, families, and neighbourhood regulars gather today. th Set within the leafy calm of Dempsey Hill, The Pantry draws from the character of one of Singapore’s most distinctive lifestyle enclaves. Formerly part of a military barracks, Dempsey has evolved into a rare kind of urban retreat — close to the city, yet removed from its pace. Its low-rise heritage buildings, lush surroundings, and mix of restaurants, cafés, galleries, retail, and family-friendly experiences have made it a natural meeting ground for locals, expatriates, and visitors alike.
A SHARED TABLE WHERE EVERYONE HAS A SEAT
Within this lush and verdant setting, The Pantry feels especially relaxed, generous, and built for the way people spend time together today. More than a family-friendly restaurant, The Pantry is a relaxed community dining space with a family soul – a place for weekday coffees, slow breakfasts, casual business lunches, after-school snacks, natural wine afternoons, weekend family meals, and celebrations. As the most casual and family-friendly venue within the COMO Dempsey ecosystem, it is also the social heart of one of Singapore’s leading hospitality groups. Diners can expect honest comfort food, unfussy hospitality, and an inclusive atmosphere where families, friends, solo diners, pet owners, and the wider neighbourhood all have a seat at the table.
“The Pantry is built around real life,” says Henrietta Cheang, General Manager of The Pantry. “Some guests come in after school drop-off for coffee, some stay for a working lunch, some gather with their families over the weekend, and some come by for natural wine with friends. We wanted The Pantry to feel like a warm and genuinely welcoming place that can hold all of these moments.”

HONEST COMFORT FOOD & DRINKS MADE WITH CARE
The Pantry’s food philosophy is rooted in generous hospitality and thoughtful, comforting flavours. Led by Chef de Cuisine Felicia Khoo, its all-day menu draws from familiar brunch favourites and timeless classics, while offering a range of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-conscious, dairy-free, and nut-free options so that everyone feels considered.

The Pantry’s coffee programme is anchored by homegrown brand Guerilla Coffee’s No. 2 blend bringing together Arabica beans from Vietnam, Java, and Bali Kintamani. Full-bodied with notes of chocolate, caramel, and citrus, it’s the backbone of playful signatures such as the Dirty ($8) – double ristretto with cold cream and milk – and the Coffee Cloud ($10), whipped coffee foam on cold milk or iced black. Tea lovers can turn to the Matcha Cloud ($10) or the Black Tea Fizz ($10).
Beyond coffee, the drinks list keeps the same all-day rhythm with freshly squeezed juices, smoothies and shakes such as the Triple Berry ($15) blending strawberry, raspberry, blueberry with Greek yoghurt, and almond milk for an antioxidant fix.
As the day stretches on, The Pantry slips into an easygoing aperitivo mood with spritzes, highballs, beers, and an approachable yet curated natural wine list. Juicy, unpretentious, and perfect for any time of the day, small producers and minimal-intervention wines are championed. DINE, PLAY & RETAIL FOR MODERN FAMILIES
For families, The Pantry extends naturally into a fuller day at Dempsey. Kids Space and Kids21, the seamless experience of comforting food, creative play, and thoughtful shopping blooms within the same destination.
At the table, younger diners are welcomed with a dedicated kids’ menu. Family meals are made easy through wholesome and easy to love options such as ABC Macaroni ($15) in chicken bone broth with shredded chicken and vegetables, crispy Chicken & Chips ($15), and Lil’ Rice Bowls ($15) served with steamed vegetables, jasmine rice, and proteins like oven baked salmon and grilled prawns. Baby-weaning options such as Avocado Mash ($6), HiPP Organic Baby Cereal and snacks are also available.
Every kids’ meal also unlocks access to Kids Space Dempsey’s Treehouse, a play experience for little diners to enjoy before or after their meal, while weekend activities such as Saturday balloon sculpting and Sunday crafts add more creative fun for little ones. Families will find stroller-friendly access, high chairs, family-friendly washroom facilities, covered al fresco seating, and a relaxed environment where noise and movement are part of the atmosphere. Pets are also welcome in the outdoor dining areas, making The Pantry a natural weekend stop for families with four-legged companions.
The family journey continues next door at Kids Space, designed to flow seamlessly with The Pantry. With direct access between the two spaces, parents can drop their children (3 years and up) off for classes and art workshops while they dine at The Pantry, or stay and enjoy supervised play together with a Play Pass. Either way, moving between play, classes, and dining is easy throughout the visit. Families can gather for meals, children can learn and play, and parents can balance social time, work, or a moment of pause – all under one roof. Kids Space members also enjoy 15% off dining and events at The Pantry & Kids Space, further connecting the seamless experience for families who return often.
Sustainability also runs quietly through this connection. The Pantry embraces cross-utilisation of ingredients to help minimise waste, while peels, coffee grounds, and fruit pulp are repurposed into creative activities at Kids Space, creating a circular link between dining, learning, and play.
Within Block 16, Kids21 adds the retail layer to the experience, completing a natural day out for modern families at Dempsey. The Dempsey store gathers a curated mix of children’s wear, toys, gifts, and play essentials – led by KINDRED, Kids21’s house label designed for children and families with a warm, contemporary sensibility. Other beloved toy and play brands such as Jellycat, Jabadabado, and OMY, span from plush companions and wooden toys to colouring sets, stickers, and creative activities.
