Singapore’s CBD has welcomed a new bakery destination with the opening of Mimmo Bakery Café at Asia Square Tower 1. Originally founded in Hong Kong’s Quarry Bay, the premium bakery concept brings a distinctive East-meets-West approach to pastry-making, combining European craftsmanship with familiar Asian flavours. The arrival of Mimmo introduces a fresh option for office workers and city dwellers seeking artisanal bakes, specialty coffee, and elegant desserts in the heart of the financial district.
At the helm is Chef Domenico Giammarella, a Montreal-born pastry chef of French and Italian heritage whose multicultural background shapes the bakery’s unique identity. The menu seamlessly blends classic French and Italian techniques with Hong Kong-inspired favourites, resulting in creations such as Pistachio Bolo Bao, Egg Tarts, and Hong Kong-style beverages alongside buttery croissants, Pain au Chocolat, Almond Croissants, and seasonal pastries. Signature cakes and dessert slices further showcase the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship, quality ingredients, and refined flavours.
Positioned as an accessible luxury experience, Mimmo Bakery Café celebrates the intersection of cultures through every bite. Guests can expect a thoughtfully curated selection of pastries inspired by Canadian, French, Italian, and Hong Kong traditions, complemented by nostalgic drinks such as milk tea, coffee, and iced lemon tea. With its stylish setting and inventive menu, the new Asia Square outpost brings a taste of Hong Kong’s contemporary bakery scene to Singapore’s bustling CBD.
