Luxury hospitality brand The Hari is set to make its Singapore debut in spring 2027, marking the third outpost for the acclaimed hotel brand following successful launches in London and Hong Kong. Developed by Harilela Hotels, The Hari Singapore will take over the existing Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre on Cavenagh Road, transforming the property into a 326-room luxury hotel in the heart of Orchard Road. The upcoming hotel will feature a rooftop pool, executive lounge, curated dining concepts, wellness facilities, and the brand’s signature rotating art programme, further cementing its position as a lifestyle-led luxury destination.
Much like its sister properties in Belgravia and Wan Chai, The Hari Singapore will place a strong emphasis on culture, design, and personalised hospitality. Renowned British interior designer Tara Bernerd, who was also behind the design of The Hari London and The Hari Hong Kong, will helm the Singapore property’s interiors. Her vision for the hotel aims to balance contemporary sophistication with a strong sense of place, creating elegant yet welcoming spaces that reflect Singapore’s dynamic energy and multicultural character. According to founder Dr. Aron Harilela, the new property will embody the brand’s signature blend of relaxed elegance, cultural richness, and heartfelt hospitality.
Located just steps from the heritage enclave of Emerald Hill, The Hari Singapore draws inspiration from the history and character of its surroundings. Once home to nutmeg and pepper plantations, Orchard Road has since evolved into one of Singapore’s most iconic lifestyle districts, while neighbouring Emerald Hill remains celebrated for its beautifully preserved Peranakan architecture. This rich heritage will inform every aspect of the hotel, from its carefully curated art collection to thoughtfully designed communal spaces intended to foster conversation and connection. More than simply a luxury hotel, The Hari Singapore aspires to become a cultural destination where history, creativity, and contemporary hospitality come together under one roof.
