Yukkuri Kohi is a Japanese-inspired specialty coffee bar tucked away on the third floor of Alexandra Central, offering a slower and more intentional café experience away from the usual city bustle. Sharing its space with tabletop gaming studio and hobby shop Rogue’s Passage, the café blends specialty coffee culture with a relaxed community atmosphere designed for lingering conversations and unhurried afternoons.
The concept revolves around carefully guided coffee selections, with an intentionally curated menu focused on quality over quantity. Premium single-origin beans roasted in Japan form the backbone of the coffee programme, which includes both espresso-based drinks and hand-brewed pour-overs. Signature cups include the bright and citrus-forward Shantawane espresso alongside the Milan pour-over, known for its deeper sweetness and layered flavour profile.
True to its name — “Yukkuri”, meaning “to take things slowly” in Japanese — the café encourages guests to slow down and savour the brewing process as much as the coffee itself. With its calm atmosphere, minimalist approach and emphasis on deliberate craftsmanship, Yukkuri Kohi offers a refreshing alternative to the fast-paced café culture often found elsewhere in Singapore.
