Chimi’s Especial marks the latest chapter for homegrown brand Chimichanga, which celebrates a decade in Singapore’s dining scene. Located at Customs House, the new concept expands beyond its original “Sing-Mex” roots, introducing a broader exploration of Latin American cuisine in a vibrant waterfront setting overlooking Marina Bay.
The 180-seat space blends indoor dining with a breezy outdoor terrace, creating a relaxed yet lively atmosphere suited for both casual meals and group gatherings. Here, the menu travels across the continent, drawing inspiration from culinary traditions in Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, and Puerto Rico, while staying true to the brand’s signature bold and flavour-forward approach.
Signature dishes highlight the diversity of the region — from smoky Peruvian-style rotisserie chicken to Argentine-inspired grilled meats and charcoal-kissed octopus with coastal influences. The menu balances hearty mains with lighter plates and sandwiches, alongside desserts rooted in Latin American classics, offering a well-rounded experience designed for sharing.
Complementing the food is a strong beverage programme, featuring cocktails such as pisco sours and daiquiris, alongside more niche spirits like Venezuela’s agave-based cocuy. With its expansive setting, diverse menu, and waterfront views, Chimi’s Especial positions itself as a lively new destination in the CBD for modern Latin American dining.
