MODU began as a small restaurant at Mandarin Gallery, but from the very first day, the response exceeded expectations. Daily queues formed, bowls sold out early, and waiting times often stretched past an hour. Despite this, diners kept returning, drawn by the comforting warmth and depth of each bowl. The same response followed in Kuala Lumpur, where waiting times reached two to three hours, and a loyal following formed.
Singapore noticed. KL noticed. And now, MODU is answering with something bigger.
MODU High opens 31 March at 96 Amoy Street, with a larger space, an expanded menu of twelve signature Samgyetang flavours, and more possibilities than ever before. Each bowl is slow-simmered with 12 hours of patience and care, now served in a modern Hanok-inspired space nestled in the heart of Singapore’s CBD.

Samgyetang is one of Korea’s most cherished health foods, but not all Samgyetang is created equal.
At MODU High, premium begins with the details. Every bowl starts with halal-certified, organic spring chicken, prized for its tender texture and clean, natural flavour. Paired with hand-selected ginseng, jujube, garlic, and glutinous rice, each ingredient is chosen not just for taste, but for the centuries of wellness wisdom it carries.

The broth is simmered at low temperature for 12 hours, slowly drawing out the deepest essence of every ingredient into a silky, golden stock that simply cannot be rushed. By using double the amount of chicken in the broth during preparation, the result is a richer body, a deeper natural umami, and a spoonful that stays with you long after the bowl is empty.
