The ilLido Group, founded by renowned restaurateur Beppe de Vito and the hospitality group behind Baia, Sospiri, and Southbridge, introduces Les Canons, a new French bistro located at the IOI Building in Singapore’s Central Business District. The restaurant offers classic French comfort dishes, within a warm and approachable setting designed for everyday city dining. Drawing inspiration from the neighbourhood bistros of Paris, Les Canons is shaped around the natural rhythms of CBD life, welcoming guests from breakfast through to after-work apéro and relaxed dinners.
The Menu: Made for Everyday Dining
At Les Canons, the menu is designed as an all-day offering, with all items priced under $20, making it well suited to everyday dining. It centres on the dishes diners seek out when thinking of a neighbourhood bistro, bringing together a lineup of well-loved staples prepared simply and served generously.
Breakfast is available daily, featuring classic cafe fare such as Croissant ($3.60) and Pain au Chocolat ($3.80), alongside heartier options including Scrambled Eggs ($8), French Toast ($6), Croque Monsieur ($8), and Avocado Toast ($10).
The all-day à la carte menu draws from the core repertoire of French bistro cooking. Starters include Soupe à l’Oignon ($10); Bisque de Crustacés ($12), a rich seafood soup; Escargots ($12) prepared with garlic butter; Steak Tartare ($12); Artichauts en Persillade ($12), artichokes with parsley sauce, and Foie Gras ($16).



There’s also a small selection of snacks designed for casual nibbling or to accompany drinks. Guests can opt for the Chicken Liver Pâté ($8), Smoked Salmon Rillette ($8), Calamari ($10) served with cocktail sauce, Marinated Olives ($6), and Baguette ($4) with butter.
The menu includes three salad options: Parisienne ($12), a mesclun salad with ham, cheese, and mushrooms; Chèvre ($12), a warm goat cheese salad with smoked bacon; and Endives ($10), red endives with Roquefort, apple, and walnuts.
Mains continue the focus on classic, comfort-led dishes, with selections such as Steak au Poivre ($19), angus sirloin served with pepper sauce and fries; Confit de Canard ($18), duck confit; Bœuf Bourguignon ($18), slow-cooked beef cheek; and Coq au Vin ($16), chic braised in red wine. Seafood options include Flétan à la Grenobloise ($16), halibut with brown butter sauce; and Crevettes Nantua ($18), tiger prawns gratin. The menu also features truffle Macaroni au Gratin ($16).
To accompany the mains, guests can add side dishes such as Pommes Frites ($6), french fries served with aioli; Haricots Verts ($6), brown butter French beans and toasted almonds; Pomme Purée ($5); and Petite Salade ($5).
Desserts round off the menu with familiar favourites such as Crème Brûlée ($6); Mousse au Chocolat ($8); Mont Blanc ($9), a chestnut and meringue dessert served with hazelnut ice cream; and Tarte Fine aux Pommes ($9), an apple tart served with vanilla ice cream.



Wine and Apéro: A Touch of France in Every Pour
Wine plays a central role at Les Canons, with a list focused on French labels chosen to suit everyday dining. The selection spans over 50 French wines available by the glass and bottle, with glasses starting from $8 and all bottles priced under $100, encouraging guests to enjoy a single glass or linger over a bottle as part of the meal. The list draws from key French regions including Bordeaux, Bourgogne, Champagne, Loire, and Rhône.
Les Canons also offers a concise range of classic cocktails suited to apéro and casual dining. Cocktail options include Aperol Spritz ($8), Hugo Spritz ($8), Negroni ($12), Gin & Tonic ($6), Highball ($6), and Skinny B ($6), designed to sit comfortably alongside the bistro’s food menu throughout the day.
An all-day happy hour is available, with selected drinks from $6, reinforcing Les Canons’ role as an easy stop for a post-work glass or a relaxed apéro in the CBD.
