BoundbyWine, the well-loved neighbourhood bottle shop in Joo Chiat, has opened a new chapter along Robertson Quay with Barely Aged, a relaxed bistro-meets-retail concept designed for wine lovers who enjoy discovering at their own pace. Positioned as a natural evolution of the brand, Barely Aged shifts the focus from quick pick-ups to lingering moments by the river, offering a welcoming space where wine, cheese, and conversation take centre stage.
At its core, Barely Aged champions accessibility and exploration. The by-the-glass programme is intentionally robust, featuring a bi-monthly rotating list of around 30 labels, alongside a weekly selection of 15 to 20 wines that invite guests to taste widely and without commitment. Thoughtfully assembled cheese and charcuterie boards anchor the menu, while occasional winemaker sessions add a casual, educational touch without ever feeling formal.
True to its neighbourhood roots, Barely Aged keeps things unfussy and inclusive. Guests can drop by to dine in, pick up bottles and cheese for takeaway, or opt for delivery when staying in. For those not in the mood for wine, the bar also pours signature cocktails by Dirty Sips, rounding out the experience. Easygoing and unpretentious, Barely Aged settles comfortably into Robertson Quay as a new spot for good wine, good food, and laid-back evenings by the river.
