Cloudfields sits within the industrial surrounds of Tan Boon Liat, but step up to its Level 2 loft and the atmosphere shifts entirely. Bathed in natural light, the café pairs clean architectural lines with warm wood finishes, offering both airy outdoor seating and a cosy indoor dining space. The result is a calm, polished setting that feels thoughtfully removed from the building’s utilitarian roots.
The all-day menu is shaped by Chef Jason Tan, whose fine-dining background subtly informs the café’s modern brunch identity. Brunch plates lean premium, with standouts like Hamachi Corn Fritters, Crispy Egg Salmon, and the Cloudfields Big Breakfast. For heartier appetites, the kitchen also serves pastas and mains such as Mussel Butter Aglio Olio, Rendang Pasta, Barramundi with dashi beurre blanc, and Thai Yellow Curry Crab Pasta, each elevated with careful technique and flavour balance.
Drinks receive equal attention, with a broad selection that goes beyond standard café fare. Alongside coffee and matcha, housemade creations like Sky Meadows—featuring Uji matcha with yuzu cheese—and Morning Whisper, a blend of green tea, osmanthus, and guava, add a playful yet refined touch. With its considered menu and light-filled space, Cloudfields stands out as a brunch spot that feels quietly confident and well executed.
