Singapore Airlines (SIA) is ushering in a new era of luxury travel with the launch of its brand-new First Class SilverKris Lounge at Changi Airport Terminal 2. Spanning 1,050 sqm and designed to echo the refined aesthetic of the airline’s Terminal 3 lounges, the revamped space features 3.6-metre-high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and two statement chandeliers crafted from 128 hand-blown glass stars.
Thoughtfully divided into zones for dining, work, and relaxation, the new lounge offers an elevated yet inclusive experience. Guests can look forward to four private resting pods, upgraded shower suites with Dyson hairdryers and Lalique amenities, and a children’s playroom equipped with a PlayStation 5. Wellness takes centre stage with a refreshed food and beverage lineup featuring dishes like herb-roasted chicken cacciatore and ondeh-ondeh cake, alongside new health-focused options such as the Root Recovery juice made with carrot, beetroot, apple, and ginger.
The launch marks part of SIA’s $45 million investment to upgrade its Terminal 2 premium lounges over two years, following the earlier $50 million revamp of its Terminal 3 spaces. As the SilverKris Business Class Lounge and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge undergo renovations through 2027, travellers can expect up to 50% more space, refined design, and enhanced amenities — all reflecting SIA’s continued evolution in premium hospitality at the world’s best airport.
