After bidding farewell to its cosy Ann Siang Hill café, Maxi Coffee Bar has made a triumphant return — this time, at 64 Club Street. The new space is bigger, brighter, and buzzing with the same familiar warmth that won over fans the first time around. Housed in a chic, multi-zone layout, the café features a lively foyer for espresso orders, a sleek Filter Bar framed by terrazzo counters, and a breezy outdoor patio fitted with Maxi’s signature blue recycled-plastic chairs.
With the move comes an expanded menu that reflects the team’s playful yet thoughtful approach to food. The offerings are divided into “Prompt” — light bites and quick snacks — and “Proper,” a range of hearty sandwiches and toasts made with seasonal ingredients. A chalkboard announces the day’s pastries, perfect alongside Maxi’s signature brews, from classic black and white coffees to more adventurous creations like the iced cereal milk latte or cascara cola.
While the new space feels more refined, Maxi hasn’t lost its soul. The café continues to hum with its trademark energy — a blend of good coffee, community spirit, and easy camaraderie. It’s a little sleeker, a little more grown-up, but still distinctly Maxi at heart — the kind of place that makes every visit feel like catching up with an old friend.
