CHAGEE Singapore invites tea lovers, culture seekers, and the curious to experience CHAGEE Pagoda House, its first-ever tea-and-retail concept in Singapore. Located along Pagoda Street in the heart of historic Chinatown, the new heritage concept store reimagines the spirit of old teahouses — where merchants met, friends gathered, and stories flowed — for a new generation.
A Modern Social Living Room Rooted in Heritage
CHAGEE Pagoda House breathes new life into what teahouses once represented in Chinatown: community, creativity, and connection. Designed as a modern social living room, the store blends heritage textures with contemporary design — warm timber, patterned tiles, soft lighting, and communal seating that encourages people to pause and connect over tea.
“Chinatown was once the heart of Singapore’s teahouse culture, where people gathered to rest, trade stories, and build community,” said Lawrence Wen, CEO of CHAGEE Singapore. “Today, it continues to be a place where people from all walks of life come together — locals running errands, office workers taking a short break, and tourists exploring the neighbourhood. This store is where the past and present meet, a space that welcomes anyone to pause for a
moment of connection, just like the old teahouses once did.”
Outside, the store features a hand-painted mural by local creative collective Tell Your Children (TYC). Titled “Where Jasmine meets Orchid”, the artwork stretches across the façade, celebrating the meeting of cultures and generations. It reflects Chinatown’s diversity and CHAGEE’s ongoing mission to bridge tradition and modernity through design.
CHAGEE Singapore’s First Retail Boutique
Pagoda House marks CHAGEE’s first retail store in Singapore, featuring exclusive merchandise that extends tea culture into everyday life. Shoppers can browse Singapore-exclusive collectibles, lifestyle items, and the limited capsule collection designed in collaboration with TYC, available only at this location while stocks last.
The opening also continues CHAGEE’s SG60 narrative of celebrating Singapore’s cultural tapestry — from the Orchid Biluochun drink launched in August to this new heritage-inspired flagship that invites guests to Sip. Stay. Shop.
Tea, Culture, and Connection — Experiences Beyond The Cup
For the first time, CHAGEE introduces interactive cultural programming within its Pagoda House store. From November onwards, visitors can look forward to:
- Palm-reading workshops, a playful nod to Chinatown’s fortune-telling
heritage; - Calligraphy sessions led by local artists, inviting guests to try their hand at
traditional brush art; - Nanyang-inspired conversation cards placed around communal tables to
spark reflection and connection over tea; and - Guided photo walks through Chinatown, offering new perspectives on the
neighbourhood’s textures, stories, and hidden gems.
These experiences will roll out progressively, turning Pagoda House into a lively weekend
destination for culture, craft, and connection.
Grand Opening Weekend: Celebrities, Games, and Glamorous Prizes
To mark the milestone, CHAGEE will host a three-day Grand Opening celebration (31 October – 2 November) filled with fun and discovery.
Guests can enjoy a 1-for-1 Large drinks promotion and take part in the beloved “Tear & Win” activity for a chance to win exciting prizes, including a luxury bag and the latest tech gadgets, alongside limited-edition CHAGEE merchandise. Adding to the excitement, Mediacorp artistes Zhang Ze Tong and Nick Teo will be in-store, serving tea and meeting fans up close — just like “store managers” for the day, giving everyone the chance to get their drinks from familiar faces while capturing their own tea moments.
Rooted in Chinatown’s history yet designed for tomorrow, CHAGEE Pagoda House embodies the brand’s belief that tea will always be a bridge between people, generations, and culture.
