New Central Manpower Base to Feature Public Sports Facilities and 700-Seat Foodcourt
Come June, the public will get access to a new suite of amenities at the upcoming Central Manpower Base (CMPB) located opposite Cashew MRT station. The new facility, which replaces the existing CMPB at Depot Road, is designed as a one-stop hub for all national service-related administrative matters — from medical screenings to personal kit replacements. A soft opening is planned for June, ahead of its official launch in September.
The CMPB will house two main blocks: one for public amenities and the other for national service operations. Visitors can look forward to a 700-seat foodcourt operated by Timbre+, with around 20 stalls, a childcare centre, a football field, a fitness zone, and a 500m running trail. A sheltered 300m all-weather track — specially designed for NSmen to complete their IPPT — will also be part of the facility. Linked directly to Cashew MRT via a new bridge, the hub is designed for convenience and accessibility.
More than just a logistical hub, the CMPB will also serve as a healthcare centre with the Singapore Armed Forces’ second Regional Health Hub (RHH). This integrated medical facility will allow pre-enlistees and NSmen to access health screenings, dental services, and specialist care under one roof — reducing waiting times and simplifying the enlistment process. With around 200 servicemen expected to be served daily, the new CMPB is set to enhance both the national service experience and public engagement with NS-related facilities.
