Following its success at One Holland Village and Taste Orchard, Warabimochi Kamakura is proud to open its third outlet at Takashimaya S.C (#B2-34) on 29 June 2024 (Saturday), 11.30am! Look forward to the Black Sesame Milk and Black Sesame Soy Milk Warabimochi Drink, as well as Matcha Warabimochi, exclusively available at Takashimaya S.C..
As a pioneer in warabimochi dessert-drink crossover, Warabimochi Kamakura brings its unique marrying of traditional Japanese warabimochi with various flavours. Presenting the best of its mochi in a drink format, their newest flavours include Black Sesame Milk Warabimochi Drink and Black Sesame Soy Milk Warabimochi Drink (S: $7.90, M: $9.90).
Promising a smooth and silky mouthfeel, black sesame has been blended with crushed warabimochi and each sip greets you with the smooth chewy texture of the warabimochi coupled with bursts of nutty flavour from the black sesame. Available in two options, the Black Sesame Milk Warabimochi Drink features Hokkaido milk that boasts a creamy texture and a hint of richness. The Black Sesame Soy Milk Warabimochi Drink boasts a slightly stronger nutty and bean flavour flavour, perfect for soy milk lovers.
Besides the original warabimochi, Matcha Warabimochi will be exclusively available at Takashimaya S.C. Made the traditional way with bracken starch, the warabimochi is elevated to a silkier mouthfeel thanks to the addition of a house secret blend. The result is a mochi that is chewier, lighter in texture and goes down smoother with each bite.
Combining the earthy bitterness of matcha with kinako, Asakawa-en Matcha powder is tossed with carefully selected and high quality kinako sourced exclusively from Japan. As compared to conventional kinako, Warabimochi Kamakura’s kinako has been roasted at a higher temperature and for longer time, resulting in a deeper and richer flavour.
The blend is then dusted generously on the warabimochi where each piece is hand-cut and hand-tossed, creating a balanced and refreshing dessert that features a combination of matcha’s depth and the warabimochi’s gentle sweetness.
Enjoy the Matcha Warabimochi in 2pc ($5.90), 2pc with Ice cream ($7.90), 5pc box ($10.90) and 10pc box ($17.90).
