KOKO Returns With A Fresh New Home At Coliwoo Midtown
KOKO Cafe & Patisserie has made a comeback, this time in a smaller, more streamlined space at Coliwoo Midtown along Middle Road. Formerly located on Tras Street, the Japanese-style patisserie has returned simply as KOKO, trading its previous café format for a compact wooden counter with a refrigerated cake display and fuss-free self-checkout kiosk. The new setup is tucked into the co-living development, with communal seating available nearby for those who want to linger over their cake rather than take it away.
The menu has been pared back too, with KOKO now putting its Japanese-style fruit shortcakes firmly in the spotlight. Its signature strawberry shortcake remains, alongside seasonal flavours such as mango, melon and gold kiwi. Each cake keeps to the Japanese patisserie philosophy of lightness and restraint, layering soft vanilla sponge with airy whipped cream and fresh fruit. With flavours changing seasonally, there is also a reason for returning beyond the familiar strawberry favourite.
The new KOKO feels less like a traditional café and more like a little dessert stop woven into the rhythm of the city.
